Brave Blue World

By OlliEcological

The eyes have it (me).

I use these wonders of evolution for my fly-tying. The iridescence of the herl (the feathery filaments that come off the main shaft of the quill) provide a splendid body for all kinds of nymphs, tied to resemble the bodies of mayflies, stoneflies and other subimago facsimiles.

This week will entail work (natch), the gym (I'm becoming senescent and I need to gird my loins for Christmas-in-Switzerland-beastings) and more of this type of thing.

Bring it. :) xx
