A day in December

Shortly after the coffeemaker bell rang we lost power today. It was a perfect quiet time to set up the Nativity. Ours includes trees from the Adirondacks, hand carved pigs from New Guinea, a choir of angels from Kenya, a triceratops and far away background for the three kings (thank you art class in high school and our son) and finally, two grandchildren and a Little boy from Sweden holding a bowl of apples for everyone. The fire was lit and the coffee was still warm. It was a wonderful day in December.
