Tethered Nymph

A little flash of bright green caught my eye. It was one of the very tiny praying mantis nymphs on the curry flower buds. When I enlarged the shot on my computer I noticed the single strand of spider web attached to its foot. I went back out and found that it was free.

This morning I awoke to sunshine and a view of the mountains for the first time in a week. What a surprise. The sunshine didn’t last much longer than the mountains, but the day was warm and dry.
