A Portrait Of The Artist As A Young Man

Both Hanshin and Hankyu Department Store were holding art exhibitions today, so I spent a delightful couple of hours perusing both large exhibitions of contemporary art on display, all of for sale. The artwork was truly wonderful, all of it tending towards the "art for art's sake," nothing obscure or distressing - perhaps because such art is less likely to sell? 

As you can see, one artist was in the process of creating a painting in the exhibition hall. This is Nobuyo Kato. A very talented young man as you can see. I wish him well for the future.
