Who'd be a bird in winter

Not the greatest picture on the planet, but the light is so poor even this is pushed to make out what it is. Rain and bitterly cold wind is what we've got today, and by the time I'd processed this shot all the remaining berries on the holly tree outside my study had been taken. These fieldfare's were convinced there was no point leaving them for later; they were needed now.

There are two competing sing-along carol events going on in the village today, but I can't imagine many folk will venture out in this. I'm going to sit it out in the lounge with all the lights on and play the summer playlist at volume naughty. Stay perky, folks.
