Day 2

Of seven performances in seven days.

Whilst you may be bored of photos of “Katie playing music” photos (especially when they are such poor quality, like this), there’d be no photos this weekend if they weren’t of that! Today was another “7 hours of music” day. She did her piano practise. We drove a fairly long way for a final exam class and practise with her director for Tuesdays exams. We drove home. Half an hour of rubbish movie. Dropped her off for concert rehearsal ready for tonight’s concert! And all of this while the wee love is trying to fight off tonsillitis.

She was principal clarinet tonight, in her section of 15, all of whom are over 12. She did a great job too. We weren’t sure I was going to be able to get a ticket so she’d been looking for me as she led the band on stage & looked a bit sad she couldn’t see me. She didn’t spot me until they took their final bow! I took her home at the interval though. Whilst she wanted to see the jazz and percussion ensembles, she just looked like she needed putting to bed.
