Christmas lunch

Ashok had arranged a festive lunch for himself, Eddie and me. And Doreen and Elaine came too, but Eddies' wife does not enjoy such events so did not come.
Lunch was at the golf range which we all have used. The food is always good for the manager of the restaurant does an excellent job.
The meal was good, but the real pleasure was from us all being together. Elaine and Eddie really enjoyed getting to know each other.
For Elaine and me this was the first of two Christmas events. In the evening we went to the bridge club Christmas party. It was excellent and we enjoyed ourselves a lot. And credit is due to Iris the president, whose gentle manner has helped make the club a really friendly place.
