Memories
Xmas 1963, my sister, me and cousins at the dinner table of my aunt's house having tea. It will be Xmas day or boxing Day as we alternated hostng duties each year. The adults will already have eaten as they always got to eat first, something we wouldn't dream of doing but then we were never so pressed for space, it was never a decision we had to make. Not a lot on that table but probably all the right things to appeal to a child, especially chocolate teacakes. Did anyone else try to remove the chocolate shell in one piece using their teeth?
