Today's fun job
Our first job today was a rather cold and wet one, dealing with the fact that the fountain in our goldfish pool had stopped working overnight. After spending some time stripping down and cleaning the filter, we eventually tracked down the fault to the connector (I think containing a transformer) between the pump and the electricity supply. Fortunately we had a spare, so the pump is functioning again. Thank goodness the weather, although still cold, was markedly less inclement than yesterday, with a bit of sunshine and much less wind.
After that, I warmed up by doing some ironing, and then had some fun mounting the Hummel postcards I included in my blip a few days ago. I bought a small slip-in photo album - ending up with one designed for 5x7 inch photos. So I decided to make a surround for the pictures in coloured paper.
I've done 6 out of the 13, and am pleased with the effect. Unfortunately, the album is quite cheap as I found it difficult to source one in portrait rather than landscape configuration, and thus not very sturdy, so rather than mounting them "back to back", I'm just putting one into each pocket.
Meanwhile, W has been looking into accommodation in South Africa for our next holiday. I've lit the fire, and will now go and continue with my needlework.
