Last of the Summer Vine

I am no good at many things, one of them being growing tomatoes.

In spite of the help given to us by friends watering our plants in the summer heatwave (bring back the summer heatwave again), the crop was miserable and then plundered by birds and yes, you've guessed it, squirrels.


I rescued the last one several weeks ago and it has been ripening slowly on the kitchen window sill.
