Spritz Cookies

First batch of Christmas cookies. This afternoon I attended the Memorial service of my sister-in-law’s mother, Kalma. They are Norwegian and have many interesting traditions. Kalma’s son played the lur to begin the service. It is an amazing long thin wooden horn whose sound is very moving. She lived to be almost 99 and was fortunate to be very active until the last years of her life. She loved to dance and travel with which she filled her very busy life. Her four children and many grand children and great grandchildren spoke eloquently of her loving influence.
