I was sure it'd be one of the tufted duck shots (above), as they were looking like such precious stones pebbles in the golden morning light, (as well as showing off their iridescence and diving moves), but I couldn't resist this (urban) woodland-y scene. Other competitors included a handsome magpie, a bright-eyed parakeet, misty dog-walking, and a dramatic pigeon...
