A Good and Bad Day

Wednesday is Mrs D's day off (she works compressed hours) and we usually go out somewhere. However this morning I was awaiting a phone call or email on whether I got a job that I was interviewed for last week. Unfortunately the email came though early, and I didnt get it! Bummer.

So, as the sun was breaking through, and I didnt want to sit around and "stew on it" (as Mrs D put it), we decided to go to the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust centre at Welney in Norfolk. With clear skies, and not a breath of wind, the lakes were like glass. Unfortunately the bords stayed out of reach (even of my 500mm lens), but after hours of waiting, a couple of Mute Swans came in closer, and I managed some nice shots, of which this is one. I hope you like it, as it cheered me up no end - hey there will be other jobs!
