Roffensis
I got out of the house for some fresh air and a walk and ended up at Rochester. This is the nave of the cathedral looking towards the altar; the whole lot was built between 1079 and 1238 and this bit is thought to be much as it was designed which was not too long after William the Conqueror won the battle of Senlac Hill, near Hastings. Canterbury Cathedral charges £12.50/visitor while Rochester don't have an admission charge but recommend a fiver - I'm happy to chip in and happier if I don't have me arm shoved up me back.
Then a cup of hot chocolate and a lovely piece of flapjack in the Deaf Cat - well worth a visit if you are in the area.
Roffensis is what the Lats called Rochester - probably a problem with their Google maps.
