Birthday Meal

The snow failed to materialise although reports of 30cm on the high pass roads into the Casentino cane in.

We drove down into Florence and walked to the Quattro Leoni for a delicious lunch. A warm salad of chicory leaves with olives and capers with a plump a burratta cheese on top, with a dressing with anchovy and chilli peppers. Absolutely fab.

Walked back over the Arno and through quiet off- centre steers.
