How to validate an analyser (part 1)

(EB) This sketch was drawn on thin plastic that originally was stuck on our walls in the lab.  (I was told that its inventor was on Dragon's Den.) I was photographing it (and some other sheets) tonight so that I can throw the plastic in the bin but still keep a record of what is written on it.
