Went up this for the first time today. It is really impressive. As you go up in the lift you get the distinct impression that the tower isn't really made of iron. It is mostly made of air. The view from
The top is amazing although the Tour Montparnasse scores slightly by including the Eiffel Tower in its view whilst the ET has to make do with the less appealing Tour Montparnasse.

The top was also really windy.

After this, met H who had found a free exhibition at the Hotel de Ville which was about how Hollywood has seen Paris. Made me want to watch Audrey Hepburn movies and fly in to Orly Aerodrome in a propellor-powered TWA plane wearing sunglasses (me, not the plane).
