Christmas 1914: Today I got a letter....

Grandson 4 (by age of course) appears in his last Christmas show at junior school as a recruiting Sergeant in 1914. It featured young men going to war, girls working in factories and the famous Christmas Football match on the front line... and of course a little romance as boy goes to war and girlfriend waits for news. All heavy stuff interspersed with songs from the First World War and the odd sniff from the proud audience.

Remarkable, very different and enjoyable.
