Nudity!!

Decided that there isn't enough nudity (any?) on Blip, so when I was photographically studying the exhibition at Studio 53 in Salisbury, yesterday (this is my first backdated entry), this diminutive - 12" - sculpture really caught my eye.

I was doing this on behalf of the Studio's owners (an old shed!), who can't (yet?) afford to pay me, as their venture is still finding its feet but I always get my own interpretations first, such as this, with my Nikkor G 85mm f1.8 lens, the very shallow depth of field almost eliminating the background.

This piece, by a retired doctor, was made from a yellowish, cream stone but as this was my view and to emphasise the subtle lighting, I upped the contrast, which turned it browner. Many would have turned it black & white, I simply de-saturated the colour, almost to the point of removal.
