Christmas traditions

It’s lovely how a lucky day can lead to a regular treat. About five years ago, I went for lunch with a friend at a local farm shop. A real farm, selling good quality free range turkeys, so we thought they might serve good local turkey.

We were right. The turkey was splendid. The veg were just about ok but the turkey was truly special.

We went back the following year. The turkey was still super and the veg was better and more generous.

We’ve been back every year since and today was a true highlight. (My plate is in the extra. I don’t often post food, apart from pasteis de nata in Madeira.)

It really feels like Christmas and my blip today is the glorious blue sky and the countryside, as seen from the car park ( but not until I’d bought a dress in the sale !!!).
