A Walk in the Rain

It was dry when we left and, let me explain,
though I'd never set out for a walk in the rain,
I found it refreshing. It gave me a buzz;
after days shut indoors that's what exercise does.

So now, if tomorrow, it's pouring with rain,
shall I go for a walk? No, I know I'll refrain.

At least we enjoyed a sunny start to the day, which was a lovely, if brief, respite from the vile weather hitting us this week. And it's not cold. Only two days till the winter solstice. Hooray!
