letting it happen

For the last few years I've been asking myself what the point of an atheist celebrating Christmas is. Even celebrating midwinter seems a bit rich as midwinter is half a winter too much in my opinion. However, I've come to a "what the hell" kind of conclusion and, while I still refuse to do pseudo-religious crap and consumerist blah, I have got fairy lights and candles and stars and stuff. That'll probably do.
