Mary Turner- Destroyer of Sadness

Today I attended the funeral of my Aunt. It was an incredible ceremony and burial and a true celebration of her long and incredible life. I loved seeing my cousins again but it was hard to see them so upset. It’s been a painful few years as Mary became so physically and mentally unwell.

The room was beautifully decorated with some of her art work along with the plaque which had been in pride of place in her house when she was given the title ‘Destroyer of Sadness’ for her amazing work in Romania. She will be missed but she lives on in our hearts and memories.
