Last light, Warebeth (Day 1323)
The forecast for the day was a good one, and after spending the last couple of days working in a house in which all the windows are completely covered (who nails old duvets over their windows???), I needed a day off and a dose of sunshine.
I was out on the hill with the woofers as the sun rose, returning home to do a couple of things before my beautiful wife returned from work. We were soon out the door again, dropping the woofers off at Mum and Dad's before heading to the yard for a bit of hossing in the sunshine. I was on Billy again and it seems that the steering and brakes are working much better. The accelerator seems more responsive too. We managed a fairly long trot as we were heading back to the yard. All in all a grand trip out in light winds and fabulous sunshine.
After dealing with the hosses, we had lunch with Mum and Dad, then took the dogs a wander along the shore. The last of the sun peeping over the top of Hoy was too much to resist.
We have done pretty well today, being outside for the majority of the few daylight hours we have here at this time of the year. Tomorrow I am back to the bathroom re-fit, and have to fit wet wall, a job I had hoped to avoid.
