Three of a Kind
My wife was using the car today so it had to be something local to blip.
I walked down to the local harbour about an hour before sunset and the 14 storey tower blocks were lit up by the sun against a dark stormy cloud so I bagged that 'just in case'.
There were no ships in the harbour but there was a shag across the other side that I saw diving and it came up with a dab in its beak. A sharp-eyed seagull dived straight at it but the shag promptly swallowed it and the gull left. Although I captured this, it was all too distant resulting in a small grainy image that I discarded.
There were eider ducks around as well but I find the males difficult to expose for, being predominately black and white, they never show any feather detail in the camera.
Oh - there were also a couple of little grebes around but got nothing more than a silhouette of them.
In the end it was back to plan A, so here it is.
