Interlocking

A soft and foggy day, though the sun tried to break through a few times.. It's a good bike ride up Stevens Canyon Road, but I'd forgotten how many quarry trucks there are on weekdays, so I went no further than the reservoir. Water levels are still low.
Stevens Creek is named after the Carolina blacksmith who was the first to succesfully bring  a wagon train across the Sierra Nevada and homesteaded in the area until it got too civilized for him. Funny thing is he spelled his name Stephens, so even his creek is misnamed.
