In the shade

We had an early start to get the coolest part of the day for watching game. It didn’t take long for the temps to rise and back at camp it was made even worse by our paved seating area under canvas being really toasty.

After brunch I decided enough was enough and headed to reception to explain ever so politely just how dreadful we found the allocated accommodation in comparison to what we had booked.

Low and behold they could offer us one of their recently upgraded facilities instead of what they admitted was one of two oldest in the camp.

Major difference that saw us smiling again.

We still had antiquated fans with industrial extension cables but the spectacular storm that hit that night resulted in them not being required.
