750 Steps, Shravenabelagola, India

Officially discharged at 11.20 this morning!  After a couple of hours' drive, here he is climbing the 750 steps to the temple at Shravenabelagola on the way to Hassan.  He told me later on that he shouldn't have done the climb, but he felt up to it.  At any rate, it resulted in a good night's sleep, the first in more than half a week.

We should have stayed two nights here in Hassan because of the temples in Belur and Halebi(du) nearby, but the extra night at the hospital cut this short.  No matter, there will be ample time for them tomorrow.  Most important for both of us is that he's back.

The hotel where we're staying the night is a jewel -- lovely room, good, clean food, friendliness and hospitality everywhere ... and very good WiFi.  Don't know about the next place but we're taking it all one day at a time.  In between all that, guess what ... the MOOC is almost done, too.  I know, I know ... I'm supposed to be on holiday.  For me, though, a holiday also means time to do what you want without work schedules getting in way.  Don't worry, all well for now.  THANK YOU ALL for hanging on there with us and for all your well wishes and encouragement.
