I can confirm the sloe gin tastes good. When I first lined up the bottles, the levels were all over the place. Mr P evened them up by pouring some out into a glass for drinking later.
The gin soaked sloes are now going to soak in red wine and brandy for 8 weeks to make "sloe port". After that, the recipe suggests you coat the alcohol soaked sloes in chocolate to eat as sweets but they have stones in so not sure I'm going to go that far.
