Frantic Friday

Today is the shortest day of the year for daylight, and has been dubbed ‘Frantic Friday’ on the roads for traffic levels on the pre-Christmas getaway. It is also the day that Gatwick has reopened post-drone attack, was briefly shut again this evening, but quickly reactivated flights after another drone scare. It’s an eventful run-up to Christmas.
So what’s this blip? It’s the rather dramatic headlight design on my test car. It’s the Swedish ‘Thor’s hammer’ that is Volvo’s distinctive symbol in its cars’ lights. I love the way that car makers are using their lights as signatures.
