"Enormity of the old River Red-gums"

Can you see the little man standing there?
He looks infinitely small in comparison to this big old tree - part of which collapsed toward the river 2 days ago.
The old limbs will stay there now - for all the little birds and creatures to live in, on, above and beneath..
They have beautiful colorings in their bark and so many of them make beautiful subjects for paintings..which is why we see so many in our Australian Galleries..
