Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Just silly

I was in Drylaw post office at 9 this morning, what a friendly place it is, so different to the other two near us. Nice staff with lots of time to chat to customers, banter going on in the queue and across the counter, a very happy friendly place.
I spotted this newspaper on the rack and did a double take, I even checked the date to be sure. Right enough that is today's edition of the EVENING News on the rack at 9am in the morning.
How ridiculous, I guess it's the early edition, although I'm not sure there is more than one any longer. I do remember back in the days when we got our news from papers, that there were early, city, home, late and final editions of the paper and sometimes different headlines on each. I think the earliest was delivered to shops at around 3pm. I can't imagine that there will be any relevance at all to the news in this paper by the end of the day. Makes having an evening paper pointless of it is produced at the same time as the morning paper.
A very sad main story though
Busy day today, picked up a gorgeous top which I had ordered from the White Stuff sale. Did a little shopping and present delivering then home in time for dinner and some present wrapping. #1 daughter's birthday tomorrow....I'm not old enough to have a daughter that old! I don't remember becoming a grown up, help!

Steps 13327 today.

Oh and I achieved my target of walking 75 miles in the month today for Race at Your Pace and only 21 days of the month gone.
Last month I aimed for 50, this month 75, trying to decide whether January is going to be too hectic to aim for 100 or not.
