Footbridge over the River Esk.

Heading home from Edinburgh with Katkatkat and G.   Once when down visiting KKK had seen a print in the Upfront Gallery which really appealed.  Later she ordered it direct from the artist Margret Walty.  Knowing she wanted another Clickychick made a spare frame when she framed the first.

Today we took the scenic route from Edinburgh, down the A7 to Langholm where Margret lives.  Basically her studio is two room is the house with the walls covered in pictures.  While Kat chose we chatted.  As well as the fantasy pictures which so appealed to Kat she does botanical drawings.  She has achieve an RHS Gold Medal (and it is real gold) for her drawings.

She explained that to get a gold the pictures (6 I think) are judged by a panel made up of artists and plant experts.  If one judge does not rate any picture as perfect then you drop to silver gilt.

Not wishing to crowd her place with large camera bags I was stuck with phone shots as we wandered round Langholm.  So as in the title this is the foot bridge over the River Esk.
