Progress

The sun continues to shine, progress continues on the book.  There are now 75,000 words in the can, and I have two weeks left in which to finish it.  Pressure mounts.  I don't know if I'll make it (and certainly won't rush it). But if I don't, I'll have to take the laptop on tour with me in the UK.  I simply can't walk away for two weeks then come back to it with the same sense of continuity.  The only thing that worries me is my publicity schedule.  My first week, spent in London, leaves me hardly any room to breathe.  On day one I have six radio interviews, three of them live.  On other days I have press interviews, two literary lunches and will also be live on the Radio 2 Book Club, and on TV on Sky Sunrise.  When I will get time to write I just don't know.  So maybe I'll just have to work nights and weekends, too, in order to finish before I go.
