Temple Detail, Halebid, INDIA

We spent the night at a lovely hotel in Hassan, one of the best I've ever stayed in.  We were supposed to stay there two nights, but the extra night at the hospital cut that short.  No matter.

The next day, we visited two places, Belur and Halebid (or Halebidu), both known for their ancient temples.  There's an extra taken in Belur.  These areas are so different to their counterparts in the north.  The architecture is different, so is the language.  There are similarities in the food and clothing, but the weather is also different.  We are talking 3000 km. south of Delhi.

All the while, AW feeling okay.  Could be better ... but it can always be better with him.  At least he's good enough for a leisurely walk.  We're still careful with what we eat, but then we're generally careful anyway.  Our stop for tonight is a small town called Chittradurga, where there's a fort which we'll be visiting tomorrow.
