New ponies

#2 daughter brought the boys for the day and later #3 and Luke dropped off Ella and Nathaniel as they were going to a wedding.

They had a play in the woods and I walked along to meet them at the horses’ field. There are 2 new ponies called Joe and Nancy which are young and curious. Ella, Thomas, Nathaniel and James are pictured leaning over the dyke to see them. The doctor’s wife was walking her Irish wolfhound and warned us to be careful. I think she’d be worried we’d be needing her husband on his Christmas holiday to attend to a horse nip.

Back in the house they made dens and played pirates. Ella hurt her ankle after she walked the plank. Things calmed down when the boys went home.
