Polly's Pictures

Preparation

Three of us (including the deputy manager pictured) volunteered to repaint the floor of the 'backroom' at the charity shop which is looking a little worse for wear.  Quite a feat getting the floor cleared after the shop closed.  The opinion of all the volunteers was that slate grey would be the most practical.  When we opened the tins the manager had bought, we discovered he had selected pale grey, which is really off white.  First coat looks like an icy skating rink!.  We are going to do the second coat tomorrow and I have a feeling there will be a re-painting job at Easter.  Spent a lot of time on my hands and knees painting the edges - all good exercise.  Painted ourselves out to the exit doors and then acrobatics were performed to set the alarm.  Have promised ourselves a pub meal tomorrow before the next lot of paint is applied.  Will have to go easy on the alcohol!
