New Haven Tracks

We took the daily 2 pm Amtrak train from Northampton to Penn Station today--it left a bit late but arrived a bit early, at 6:15.  It always makes a long stop in New Haven, to change locomotives from diesel to electric. Thus I had plenty of time for this shot  (taken almost exactly at sunset). As always, such railroad images remind me of Alfred Stieglitz's classic The Hand of Man. We'll be staying in the city for a week--stay tuned :)
