...damage from our break and entry.
We woke early ( very early) and disembarked at 7am. We caught a taxi to central station and had time for a coffee before the train journey to Lithgow. Our daughter Nina drove to pick us up and we got home about midday.
I had left a clean and tidy house all ready for Christmas with presents neatly wrapped under the tree. We had spent weeks getting a watering system organised but even with good planning things go “ pear shaped”.
The intruders made a MESS with glass and blood ( good ), chipped tiles, broken toilet seat, chipped bath and cracked window sill. The police left black powder everywhere from finger printing. the irrigation was unhooked so turned off. So we spent a lot of the afternoon sorting out the mess and catching up with washing and shopping.
We have the grandchildren staying tonight which is great, they are old enough to be easy. Tom and Toby are happy to have us home with lots of purring and tail wagging. AND to top it off I received 20 cards and lovely newsy letters for Christmas. So after a great holiday with some inconvenience ( break in) it’s great to be home.
I just posted a back blip of a brilliant sunrise yesterday taken morning from the balcony of our cabin.
