Passing of time.
1. Lockerbie Memorial to the disaster 30 years ago yesterday. Putting Christmas wreaths on Mr & Mrs In-Laws resting place. They have a ringside seat right beside the Memorial. 30 years! Jings. I remember it well, the news reports, unable to get any information (when the plane came down it severed the phone lines). Into the car to find the town in lockdown, enormous military helicopters, soldiers and police everywhere. And sadly TV news crews on every street corner desperately looking for soundbites from anyone and everyone.
Fortunately father in law was sound asleep in his chair in front of the telly, completely unaware anything had happened even though he must have been about 800 metres from where the plane came down. Mother in law was walking back from visiting friends when one of the flaming engines roared overhead. Again fortunately unscathed.
2. Car registration of the week.
3. Wee Murdo continues his charm offensive of our family tour in the borders. They all thought he was soooooo cute. As I write the little monster has been shredding a huge Hoola Hoops cardboard box I salvaged at Tesco for the past 30 minutes. (I mention Hoola Hoops but in truth I don't think it has any relevance to the narrative.)
