Jasminum nudiflorum

Just when you think everything in the garden is being killed off by frost, it's heartening to see good old Winter Jasmine in flower.

We have two plants on the house wall, visible from the kitchen, and they give a lovely splash of colour. The yellow flowers appear on the leafless green stems in December with the leaves appearing in spring as the plant puts on new growth.
