Bird On Barbed Wire

Some good has come out of getting that parking ticket. I've been telling MrQ how much Ollie dog enjoys the water meadows and the ford. He can't walk far without getting breathless these days but my new parking space is right next to the ford. We took him with us today and he loved seeing Ollie retrieving twigs from the water and he managed to walk as far as the lock. 

I put my wet-weather jacket on the bench there for him to sit on and Ollie and I went to see if any interesting birds were attracted by the feeders at the viewing platform. Nothing unusual but it was nice to see this goldfinch.
