Golden Christmas glow...

Our friends Alan and Gail were supposed to be meeting us and Ele and Kenny back at our favourite local Italian deli for brunch at 11am.  Just after 9am I got a text from Gail saying they'd slept in so I suggested we meet as noon and have lunch instead.  Save them having to rush all the way from Midlothian.  

Ele and David took Lola a walk on the moor.  Kenny drank coffee and watched tv and I pottered about doing bits and bobs. 

Got to the deli to be greeted with the usual warm welcome and handed over the Christmas card and chocs we'd taken for the team.  Alan and Gail arrived five minutes after us.

After a very leisurely and delicious lunch Ele and Kenny headed home as they were going into Glasgow early evening for their annual meet up of their old university gang.  Alan and Gail came back to ours and stayed for dinner and we had a lovely evening catching up properly with them for the first time in ages.
