Manchester Cathedral

for the Festival of 9 Lessons .Probably biased but just as glorious as the King's Cambridge version with an imaginative selection of carols including from Spain, Poland, Russia. The Cathedral may lack gothic splendour. but is an underrated architectural gem that does not vaunt itself but boasts solid Mancunian virtues. Naturally we couldn't take pictures during the service these are before and after.
