OLD STOCK

Early start this morning.  My friend Jan wanted to be at Morrisons around 9.30am when the shop opened.  Plenty of parking when we arrived - but when we came out with our shopping there were only a few spots left.  I got most of what I wanted.  A couple of things were " use by " today - no good to me as I want to eat them over Christmas.  So I will check out Tesco in the village tomorrow.

After unpacking the shopping I had breakfast and started working my way through my " to do " list.  Washing up - done.  Washing - done.  Christmas tree - decorated.  I couldn't find the tree lights in the 3 boxes I had taken from the garage so I realised there must be another box somewhere.  Spend a bit of time looking through the " junk " in the garage and found a box labelled " lights and new decorations.  Lots of decorations that I must have bought in the " Sales " last January - and which I had forgotten about.  Of course by now the tree was full of " old " decorations but I added a few new ones - and the lights.  I'm glad its finally up - feels more like Christmas here now.

In among the decorations I found the box of Christmas garlands and the box of small crackers in my blip shot. They came from my father in laws house when we cleared it out out after he passed away.  He used to own a few shops and I guess these items were leftover stock when he sold up and retired.  I keep them for sentimental reasons - I won't ever use them. The prices of the garlands is on the inside of the lid.  They vary in cost - 4d,5d and 6d each.. The crackers cost 3/8d for the box.

Another early start tomorrow - Slimming Group are meeting at 9.30am instead of 5.30pm.

Steps today - 6,747
