a dusting of a different sort

No snow today, although the dusting we got two days ago is still in the shady spot in front of our house.
This is a dusting of pollen from the first bloom of the amaryllis bulb I planted in late November. The bulbs are a fund raiser for Huntington's Disease research, so I buy a bunch to give out as gifts, and always keep one for myself. It is such a joy to see it sprout up and bloom, just like the strides being made in a cure for HD.
