Merry Christmas to You All

Well it looks like you had some great fun finding suitably festive houses and other buildings for our Christmas Challenge.  We've had great fun looking through the entries and it was really pleasing to see that we had contributions from all over the world.

One of the recurrent themes was the amount of energy being used and the demand it was putting on the local electricity grid.  You seriously have to worry about the load on the houses circuit board when you see some of the displays. And then you wonder whether the owners will be have any space to top their efforts next year.

We loved one of our newer member's holiday tradition to drive out with his daughters, complete with warm cocoa, cruising the neighbourhood looking at all of the decorated houses. He's done it since they were in booster seats. It seems as though this tradition has caught on elsewhere in the United States.

And you can only admire the ingenuity of one owner to stretch his lights so high.

There were over a hundred entries when it came time to our review.  Many thanks to everyone that took part and if you want to add more images to the challenge you can do so by including the tag 'CCXmas2018'.
