New Life

DesertCamel took me to visit her favourite place in the Sandpit today - the Royal Camel Farm. I believe that there are over 500 camels reared and cared for here, of varying ages. The farm is a beautiful place with different sized holdings for the younger camels and female camels. The older and male camels have shaded areas. Some of the camels seemed to understand that people with cameras meant a photoshoot and were vying to pose for their pictures. My attention was caught by this mother and newborn camel (probably a couple of days old). The mother was very attentive and about 10 minutes after this photo was taken, the farmers came to assist the baby to its feet for a walk. They baby cried, and the mother got closer and closer to protect it.
