Christmas Hellebore

Sadly, a bit spattered by mud due to all the rain we had yesterday, but still looking beautiful, I think this variety is called Christmas Rose.

Christmas is sadly not a happy time for everyone and my heart goes out to those suffering as a result of the tsunami in Java/Sumatra.  Also to those who may be lonely, homeless or bereaved or for whatever reason, unhappy. 

I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.
