MonoMonday: "Set"
JohnEdward has chosen "Set" as today's MM challenge (thanks John).
I'm indebted to Son #2 for the idea for my blip today, as it was he who suggested that I blip this set of Pendelfin figures. The lads gave them to my Editor many years ago: each one represents one of the three of them.
"Son #1" is in the middle: at the time he had a reputation for being a bit of a spendthrift - whenever he had any pocket money he wanted to spend it immediately! "Son #2" is on the left - he currently teaches Maths at Bath Uni and his interest in matters mathematical goes way back (when he was about 7 he found "maths", as taught at primary school, boring - he said that they kept asking him to do the same sums over and over again, just with different numbers!). "Son #3" is on the right - he was mad keen on pirates for years, an interest which then somehow mutated into his fascination with Far Eastern history - especially the Mongol Empire (on which he wrote his dissertation for his history masters degree.)
This seemed an appropriate "set" to blip at Christmas time, and follows on neatly from my blip yesterday showing the lads as they are now.
